Recommended by veterinarians, Phoenix Worms are the only calcium-rich feeder that has naturally balanced calcium and phosphorus and can be safely fed as a staple. Delicious, nutritious, high in calcium and low in fat.

Phoenix worms are fed regularly at the San Diego Zoo, Indianapolis Zoo, Toledo Zoo, London Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park and Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: Offer 3-4 Phoenix Worms per Sugar Glider per day along with a balanced diet such as Exotic Nutrition's 'Glider Complete' or 'Premium Sugar Glider Diet'.

Shipping Live Insects / Guarantee: 

Live worm orders are shipped Mon. -Fri. All  live worm orders typically ship via Priority mail service. (2 business day delivery time). During Winter months ...  we may use UPS Ground service, depending on the delivery location, but during the Summer, we only use Priority Mail Service.  You must have your orders shipped to a place where they can be received and cared for upon delivery.  We can not guarantee live delivery if your order was left outside because no one was around to receive it. We cannot guarantee live delivery if the temperatures in your area are above 80 degrees F, or below 32 degrees F, at the place of delivery. If the temperatures are going to be 80 degrees or above, or 32 degrees or below at the delivery location, we will not be responsible for live delivery.

If your worms do not arrive to you alive, you must contact us with-in 24 hours of delivery time, and meet the above guarantee restrictions, in order to file a claim for replacement worms. We cannot make exceptions to this policy. In the case of DOA worms, we will replace the worms at no charge, but shipping costs will be added to the replacement order. We are not responsible for carrier problems or delays. Claims due to carrier mistakes or delay must be handled through the carrier, not Exotic Nutrition.

 

  Ideal for:

Sugar Glider, Hedgehogs, Skunks, Squirrels, Bluebirds , Reptiles, and other insect eating animals!

Our worms are packed in a non-food bedding, and do not require food. They are naturally packed with calcium and nutrients, so gut loading, feedings and special vitamins are not required. Phoenix worms have a long shelf life, should be kept in the cup the come in, and just kept out at room temperature. The only maintenence needed may be a couple drops of water from time to time!

          

CARE & STORAGE

Keep your worms in the original closed container to preserve the correct moisture balance. Phoenix Worms will keep for weeks at room temperatures from 60-70 degrees. For even longer shelf life, keep cool (50-60 degrees) but do not refrigerate. Large size Phoenix Worms are farther along in their life cycle and will darken in preparation for pupation more quickly than the smaller sizes. This is normal and the worms are not dead. Calcium levels are highest in the darker worms. We suggest feeding the darker worms first while they are still wiggly.

Packing media can be easily removed from your worms by pouring out the worms to be served and allowing them to dry for a few minutes. Media will fall away from the dry worms. Any clinging residue can be easily blown off before serving.

Serve dry Phoenix Worms in a shallow dry dish. Any moisture that is present will enable Phoenix Worms to climb out of the dish and hide in the substrate.
